- Reduced outages – thanks to detailed inspections taking place while the asset is live
- Reduced costs – by minimising costly downtime
- Higher quality information – our technical skill to fly close to assets along with our experience and industry leading knowledge lets operators locate and diagnose problems quickly
Live Transmission Inspections
RIGCOM Access – UAV can undertake extensive inspections and surveys of transmission towers, pylons and distribution poles. We can provide a close visual inspection in a convenient and useable photographic format without any adverse impact upon operational effectiveness and line outage ‘down-time’. Inspections can include the condition of insulators and connections, shoes, dampers, earthwire and connection, as well as structural steel bracing.
RIGCOM Access – UAV capabilities are such, that the inspecting and surveying of industrial chimney stacks, cooling towers, stacks and vents can be conducted easily and efficiently. These inspections/surveys can be undertaken as a ‘one-off’, regular or emergency basis or as part of an on-going customer annual inspection programme to comply with a planned inspection regime. Indeed, some customers prefer to monitor on a monthly basis to track deterioration or known problems. During these inspection programmes, we will inspect the condition of the concrete or brickwork, mantle, lightening conductors, acid resistant coating and cap; as well as highlighting potential dropped objects. Regardless of the customer requirement, RIGCOM Access – UAV will be completely flexible to satisfy your needs.
With our experience, RIGCOM Access – UAV can undertake a host of numerous structural inspections which include carrying out surveys of industrial structures including storage tanks, elevated pipe racks, buildings, roofs, ducting, gantries and walkways. Complimentary follow-up work can also be catered for using our Rope Access or Height Safety technicians.
RIGCOM Access – UAV have undertaken extensive thermal/infrared inspections as well as surveys of industrial structures ranging from chimney ducting, flares, chimneys and other process equipment. These inspections can identify gas leaks, burn back and refractory breakdown.
